Grandparents standing by bonfire in North Carolina hills

Keep the connections going.

I know how much we are looking forward to those in-person interactions again, especially with grandchildren. But there is something valuable about the online tools and apps we’ve learned to use in the last year. If the grandkids love hi-tech, I support keeping up with their interests so we can keep in touch more often.

Here are some of my favorite ways to keep connected the 21st century way. Have questions about how any of them work? Ask the grandkids! I bet they would enjoy being your tutor.

Social Media

Your grandkids are probably on the most popular social media apps: Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. Create your account and ask them to add you as a “friend.” You may not be talking all of the time, but

In my younger days, going to the beach meant everything I needed for the day could fit in the passenger seat of my car. A towel, flip flops, sunscreen, a small cooler, and I was all set. Not only have times changed, but like me, you probably have grandkids with you now. So, your bag is a little heavier, packed with all you need to keep the whole clan sun-safe, hydrated, and entertained.

John and his granddaughter pulling a wagon

A day at the beach now might mean you'll be pulling a wagon with sand-worthy wheels to haul everything. But I promise you, with these luxury beach items, the entire family will stay happy for the whole day.

The right accessories for the perfect day.

I love being a realtor because what I have always believed to be true is proven with each transaction: Treat people right, and the rest will follow.

Here’s what I have discovered:

Clients want education as much as help.

I don’t just offer suggestions on buying and selling, I will explain why a particular strategy is right for you. The details matter and my clients appreciate that. If you are a buyer, I will save you valuable time by finding the properties that best suit your requirements and show you the most promising ones. If you are a seller, I’ll help you understand the details of the closing process, and handle all the paperwork for you.

Clients appreciate a depth of local knowledge.

I’ve been called “Mr. Singer Island,” and I

Looking for a real estate investment with great benefits?

Condos on Singer Island offer strong income potential and a highly-desirable South Florida location.

Why Condos?

  • You are the owner: A condo is a private residence within a larger building or community and each condo unit comes with a deed or title.
  • Less maintenance: Condo ownership provides maintenance-free freedom. Exterior maintenance issues—from mowing the lawn to fixing a leaky roof—are managed by the association.
  • Excellent amenities: Condos are synonymous with service and luxury. Take a plunge in a resort-like pool. Ask for help from a 24/7 concierge. Get in a workout at a private gym. Never worry about parking. Security, including cameras and guards, are provided. Many

With 2020 nearly in the rear-view mirror, let's look at what to expect for home buyers and sellers in 2021.

  • Prediction: Increased home prices that became a hallmark of the COVID-19 crisis may be here to stay.
  • Thought: Sellers can continue to capitalize, but it’s still important to price a property correctly at the start. Buyers will need an astute negotiator in their corner to get the best possible deal.

  • Prediction: Total active listings were down in 2020, but sellers will be more confident to list in 2021.
  • Thought: The sale price on a listing and the offer a seller is willing to accept depends greatly on the supply/demand balance. If there is more competition, that balance changes. As someone who has been working

Soon enough, the season of snow and ice will arrive. The colder weather will keep us cooped for another long stretch after months of staying safer at home. But with interest rates at historic lows and opportunities that are never better for real estate investments, now is the right time to make your move to Singer Island in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Are you prepared?

Like all Floridians, we take hurricane preparedness quite seriously. When you live here, residents learn what to do in a weather emergency. Here on Singer Island, where condo living on the sand is the popular choice, buyers should look for hurricane protection features in their residence. They’ll also need to pay attention to condo-specific preparedness concerns.

Hurricane-Impact Glass

When you purchase a condo with “hurricane-impact glass” on sliding glass doors and windows, you’re securing a tremendous benefit for your residence. Windows that are hurricane-resistant or stormproof are constructed with impact-resistant glass treated with a layer of PVB or EVA. While this glass will likely shatter upon impact from flying

and Singer Island is a vacation year-round

We a firm believer in vacation time. Studies have shown that taking time away from the job can have physical and psychological health benefits. When you vacation, you have lower stress, a better outlook on life, and more motivation to achieve goals.

This summer, John's family headed 700 plus miles north to Cashiers, North Carolina, to their beautiful second home on 10 acres of land. Located high on a plateau in the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, it’s about a 720+ mile trip north for them, but wow, what gorgeously scenic trip it is.

A popular vacation destination, Cashiers is in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest. It's a cool, lush area filled with rivers and waterfalls,
